The pond came to life due to the clay excavations. When those stopped, the water flooded the area and that is how the fishermen of Vrhnika got an interesting pond that offers plenty possibilities for fishing and relaxing. At some points it is overgrown with water lillies but the most of the pond is suitable for fishing throughout the year.
