The  Ribiška družina Ribnica was founded in 1958 and has been working since. We put in approximately 2500  two-year old brown trouts - which were grown in our breeding streams - into our fishing waters every year. We even put in rainbow trouts ( under the hook ) as well as carps and tenches. Rainbow trouts are being put in the Raščica and the Ribnica, carps and tenches into the pond  Glinokop. Our fishing waters ( districts ) are:  the Raščica, the Bistrica, the Ribnica- including the part of  the creek Sajevec- the pond Glinokop in Brezje near Nemška vas  as well as the creek Rakitnica-Obrh.  In each of our districts you can find the following fishing species: brown trouts and rainbow trouts, graylings, pikes, chubs, carps, tenches, roaches, common rudds and common percoidei.
