The district spreads downstream from the Plečnik's barriers in Ambrož square (so called Cukrarna) to the dam at the paper factory Papirnica Vevče in Vevče. It is dynamic district with rapids, channels and deep pools and even some areas in the city that are engulfed in concrete.

It is  fishing in the middle of the city where you can catch big brown trouts, graylings, huchens or pikes, enjoy in ground fishing for barbels or carps or have fun while float  fishing for chubs, common nases or Danube roaches.
